DuPage Senior Citizen Council to host new senior lunch program

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council will soon begin providing a lunch program for DuPage seniors, according to a news release from the council.

The first lunch will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 31 and will feature Indian fare from Vaishnav Samaj of Midwest. It will be held at Shreejidwar Haveli, 440 W. Fullerton Aven. in Addison.

There is a $3 suggested donation for individuals over the age of 60 with a $7 per meal fee for those under 60. Cost covers food provided by the Lombard-based council, as well as entertainment.

After this grand opening, the program will be offered every Tuesday from noon until 3 p.m. at Shreejidwar Haveli. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Sushila Ray at 630-808-1082 or Moneek Khan at 630-776-7456.
