Village seeks candidates for several committee vacancies

Published: Tuesday, July 30, 2013 10:30 a.m. CDT

LOMBARD – Applications are being accepted for community members interested in serving on various committees and commissions of the Lombard Village Board.

Currently, there are immediate openings on the Economic and Community Development Committee, the Finance Committee, the Liquor Commission and the Historical Commission.

Each of the committees meets regularly throughout the year and provides advice and insight to the Board of Trustees.

"Input from residents on village matters is important to the Board of Trustees," said Village President Keith Giagnorio. "The board very much welcomes and encourages members of the community to participate in committees and commissions. Residents who choose to volunteer for these positions are a larger part of the decision-making process on crucial village matters."

The application for residents interested in serving on a committee is available at villageoflombard.org. The application can be found by hovering the cursor over the "About" tab and clicking "Boards, Committees and Commissions."

Residents can either fill out an online application or print the form and deliver it to Village Hall Attn: Carol Bauer, 255 E. Wilson Ave., Lombard, IL 60148.
