Conroy to bring state services to local community

Published: Monday, July 29, 2013 3:46 p.m. CDT

VILLA PARK – Various state services will be delivered directly to local residents during a state services fair hosted by Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, on Aug. 3 in Oakbrook Terrace.

The event will be held at Heritage Park, 1S325 Ardmore Ave. in Oakbrook Terrace, and representatives from the Treasurer's office, the Attorney General's office, the Comptroller's office, the Secretary of State's office and the Illinois Department of Employment Security's office will be available to meet with residents. The Treasure's office will be offering the I-Cash program, which gives Illinois residents the ability to search for and reclaim assets owed to them by the state.

"Residents are not always aware of resources available to them through the state, and this fair will bring these government resources right to their community," Conroy said. "This fair will raise awareness about the services that these agencies offer, and I encourage all residents to stop by and learn more about the programs offered."

The fair will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. For more information or to RSVP, contact Conroy's at 630-415-3520 or email RepDebConroy@gmail.com.
