Four men arrested in undercover meth bust
VILLA PARK – Four men were arrested in Villa Park on Thursday as part of a month-long drug investigation, DuPage County Sheriff John Zaruba announced Friday.
Arthur Goodman, 34, of the 8100 block of 44th St. in Lyons, and Remy Martin, 42, of the 300 block of Pocahontas Trail in Lake in the Hills, were both charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, a Class X felony, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
Joseph Strubin, 30, and Christopher Strubin, 32, both of the 10 block of Black Walnut Trail in Palos Park, have been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance which is a Class 3 felony.
About 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the Sheriff’s Tactical Narcotics Team, Chicago Police Department and Woodridge Police TAC Unit conducted an undercover operation in Villa Park, where undercover detectives met with Goodman and Martin to purchase methamphetamines. During the operation, the Strubin brothers arrived and were observed purchasing meth from Goodman and Martin, the news release stated.
All four men were taken into custody and charged and are currently being held in the DuPage County Jail. After all four appeared in bond court Friday morning, Goodman and Martin are being held on $250,000 bond, and the Strubin brothers are each being held on $15,000 bond, the Sheriff's Office said.
