An 18-year-old Cicero woman faces murder charges after giving birth to a girl at a Michigan camground, who later died in a hospital, apparently from blunt force trauma.

According to Michigan State Police, Alyce Morales gave birth in a Benzie County campsite where she was vacationing with relatives.

Morales had been hiding her pregnancy from her parents, and gave birth to the child while she was alone, police said.

Emergency medical services were called to the campsite and the infant was transported to a hospital where she later died.

An autopsy determined the child was died of blunt force trauma.

Morales was ordered held without bond Thursday.
