Published: Thursday, July 25, 2013 2:06 p.m. CST

WESTMONT – Westmont police are warning residents to be aware of unauthorized solicitors in town.

Recently, there have been reports of solicitors going door-to-door or making house calls claiming to be with the village's electric supplier, according to police.

First Energy Solutions, the community's official electric supply company selected by the village, does not make door-to-door solicitations.

For more information, contact the Village of Westmont at 630-981-6200. Residents can register for no telemarketing calls at: www.donotcall.gov
