GLEN ELLYN – State Rep. Sandra Pihos of Glen Ellyn has co-sponsored a bill that calls for the resignation of Metra Board Chair Brad O'Halloran amid allegations he pressured former Metra CEO Alex Clifford to make politically motivated personnel decisions.

“Unfortunately, when it became evident that he would not play ball with influential politicians looking to engage in political patronage, he was offered over $700,000 to leave his position and keep quiet," Pihos said in a news release.

Pihos also co-sponsored another bill that removes health care and pensions of future appointees to the boards of Chicago's transportation agencies. Current board members will receive the benefits until they are re-appointed for new terms. Gov. Pat Quinn signed the legislation into law on July 23.
