DuPage Dynamite 16U takes second place at Summer Scorcher tournament

The 16U DuPage Dynamite took second place at the Summer Scorcher tournament in Hoffman Estates on July 21.

The injury-riddled Dynamite battled their way to get the No. 2 seed in the playoffs and was dominant in the playoffs getting to the championship game. The championship game was a back-and-forth battle with the Illinois Bash. The Dynamite eventually fell to the Bash 9-7.

The Dynamite feature players that attend York High School, Willowbrook, Wheaton Warrenville South, Lake Park, Glenbard East and IC Catholic.

The Summer Scorcher tournament wrapped up the Dynamite’s inaugural season and the team will be holding tryouts in August at the 16U, 18U and possibly more age levels.
