LAS VEGAS – John Shurna had a strong showing as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks summer league team, wrapping up play with a 14-point performance on July 19.

Shurna, a Glenbard West High School graduate and the all-time leading scorer at Northwestern University, averaged 9.4 points in five contests for the Bucks. He shot 46 percent from beyond the three-point arc, making a team-high 12 threes.

He also connected on 90 percent of his free throw attempts and added 3.4 rebounds per outing.

A year ago, Shurna played for the Atlanta Hawks summer squad before attending training camp with the New York Knicks. After being cut, the forward went on to have a successful season with Strasbourg of the top French league.
