Elmhurst artist Jim Dahle's oil painting "Don't Leave Thirsty" will be featured in the Elmhurst Artists' Guild Summer Member Show along with the work of more than 60 other artists.

ELMHURST – More than 60 artists will exhibit work in the Elmhurst Artists’ Guild (EAG) Summer Member Show.

The EAG gallery at the Elmhurst Art Museum will include landscapes, portraits and abstract works, most of which are for sale. A portion of the proceeds benefit EAG and the Elmhurst Art Museum. Most EAG members work professionally in the art world.

Elmhurst artists Jim Dahle and Terry Johnson are just two of those members featured. Dahle’s oil painting, “Don’t Leave Thirsty,” includes mixed media and features zebras in duplication. Johnson’s colorful acrylic painting is titled “It’s Still Rock ‘N’ Roll to Me (Side B).”

All are invited to a public reception for the exhibit from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 2. The members show will run from Tuesday through Sept. 6 and can be viewed during regular museum hours. Every Friday admission is free, and other days, admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students, and children younger than 5 always are free.
