The majority of the break-ins happened overnight between midnight and 4 a.m. Property stolen ranged from small items to large tool boxes.

“Residents can help police by leaving lights on around their homes, locking car, home, and garage doors and reporting anything suspicious – even if it seems insignificant to you”, said Detective Frank Lara said in the release. “Don’t make it easy for criminals to get to your property – call us!”

Police said the offenders were targeting unlocked doors, but in many cases a pry-type tool was used to gain access to garages and cars.
