Elmhurst club to host used book sale

ELMHURST – The American Association for University Women's Elmhurst branch is collecting books for its used book sale.

Thousands of used books, CD's, DVD's, tapes and records will be highly organized into more than 30 categories for sale. Most items are priced between $.50 to $2 each. Proceeds from the AAUW book sale will benefit AAUW fellowships, scholarships and grants for students at the local and national level.

Collection barrels are available at Elmhurst Public Library, Courts Plus, both Elmhurst Jewel Osco locations, Jackson Elementary School and the Addison Park District Centennial Center until July 30.

The used book sale will be August 1 through 4 at Jackson Elementary School, 925 Swain Avenue. The hours will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 9a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 12-3 p.m. Sunday. There is a $10 admission fee Thursday, but all other days admission is free.
