LA GRANGE – Rocktoberfest returns Sept. 21 for a full night of live music, local food and drinks served by celebrity bartenders.

The annual fall celebration, presented by the Women's Auxiliary of the Community Nurse Health Center, will take place from 5 to 10:30 p.m. at Gordon Park.

The lineup of bands includes: Teknical Diffickulties, which will kick off the night with classics from bands like Pearl Jam, The Offspring, Green Day and The Ramones; Far-Sighted, a band of Lyons Township High School students who won the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce Battle of the Bands; and Wedding Banned, whose interactive performances feature hits from the '80s and '90s.

Beer will be poured by local celebrities, who will accept tips online to compete for the title of 2013 Celebrity Bartender of the Year. Food will be provided by Devries Grocery, La Cabinata and other vendors.

“It’s a unique and fun event that really fills a niche in our communities," said Lisa Schumacher, chair of the event, in a press release.

Proceeds from the event benefit Community Nurse Health Center, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the health of the communities it serves.

General admission tickets are $15 in advance at Devries Grocery, 806 W. Arlington Ave., or at the Community Nurse Corner Shop, 27 Calendar Ave. Tickets can also be purchased at www.communitynurse.org/rocktoberfest.

Tickets are $20 at the door.
