Open spots still available in Westmont Library's teen self defense class

WESTMONT – Through exploring hypothetical situations, high school students will learn ways to escape danger in a self defense class at the library.

The class will be held from 4 p.m to 5:30 pm. Tuesday at the Westmont Public Library, 428 N. Cass Ave. Participants will go through real-life scenarios of being attacked and deciding what is the best response.

Anne Scatchell, who will lead the self defense course, has four black belts in Tae Kwon Do, two in Hap Ki Do, and is a certified teacher and instructor in Sexual Harassment Assault Rape Prevention.
