Elmhurst businesses cited for selling alcohol, tobacco to minors
ELMHURST – Police reported they recently conducted a series of routine liquor and tobacco compliance checks of Elmhurst vendors.
Deputy Chief Dominic Panico said the Elmhurst Police Department receives a grant through the Illinois Liquor Control Commission to conduct the checks. Police also participate in education efforts to prevent tobacco and alcohol sales to minors.
Panico said police check vendors who sell tobacco or alcohol in Elmhurst. They do not target any specific retailers.
