Wheaton Public Library to host genealogy workshop Aug. 17

The Wheaton Public Library will host four seminars Aug. 17 examining genealogy as a hobby and a science, according to a library news release.

Dick Eastman, publisher of the Eastman Online Genealogy Newsletter, will lead the talks. Topics include:

• The Family History World in 10 Years Time

• Mocavo: A comparison of the Best(?) Genealogy Search Engine vs. Google

• The Organized Genealogist

• Putting Genes in Genealogy

Advance online registration is required, according to the release. $34 is the cost for all four sessions and a boxed lunch, whereas $25 covers only the sessions. To register, visit www.dcgs.org under the events tab. Any questions should be directed to conference@dcgs.org
