Westmont Park District hosts rocket launch for kids

Published: Tuesday, July 16, 2013 1:21 p.m. CST

WESTMONT – Kids throughout Westmont are invited to construct and launch their own rockets with the Westmont Park District Wednesday.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., for a $3 charge, the park district will help participants build their own rockets using paper towel tubes, construction paper and plastic bottles. Once the air crafts are ready, the kids will add rocket fuel, or alka-seltzer and send the ships off into space.

Wednesday's event will be hosted at the Gregg House, at 117 S. Linden Ave. For more information contact 630-969-8080 or visit: wpd4fun.org
