LEMONT – I Grow Lemont, a community gardening initiative that started planting in May, has joined the vendors at the Lemont Farmers Market.

The gardeners are selling beets, radishes, herbs and lettuce. Future produce is expected to include tomatoes, squash, zucchini and more.

Money raised from the sales will go towards food vouchers for the Lemont food pantries and to support the Lemont Family Assistance Fund.

The Lemont Farmers Market is held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays through October at Lemont Talcott Square, Stephen and Talcott streets.
