Food co-op to host fermentation workshop
LOMBARD – Lombard's Prairie Food Co-op is hosting a workshop on fermentation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 20 in Lombard.
During the program, Nina Sheehan, a local, registered nurse will give a presentation about the health benefits of fermented foods and give participants information about fermenting projects at home.
Tickets are $15 a person and all proceeds will benefit the Prairie Food Co-op, an organization of residents working to bring a food cooperative to Lombard or one of its neighboring suburbs.
