Police make arrest after string of Oak Brook burglaries

OAK BROOK – The Oak Brook Police Department has made an arrest involving several commercial burglaries along 22nd Street in Oak Brook.

Gerald Carey, 46, of 9954 South Wentworth Ave., Chicago, has been charged with one count of burglary.

According to police, Carey would enter office suites and remove cell phones, iPads, laptops, wallets or purses. Through the course of the investigation, it was discovered Carey was involved in several similar burglaries in surrounding police jurisdictions, which ultimately lead to his arrest Monday.
