HINSDALE – For the past 13 years, Tiffany Verzani has served as the youth and young adult services manager and assistant director at the Hinsdale Public Library.

Between those two roles she has done everything from marching in Hinsdale’s Independence Day parade while handing out free children’s books to presiding over building renovations.

On Aug. 5, she will take on a new role as library director of the Elmwood Park Public Library.

In 2006, Verzani was one of the recipients of The Community House’s 50 under 50 Community Leadership Award. She has been awarded grants to enhance library services, formed partnerships with the Hinsdale Humane Society, worked with nearby libraries to start the annual Kids Read program and served on local and statewide library committees.

A reception will be held for her from 2:30 to 4 p.m. July 25 and refreshments will be served.
