Wheaton Park District announces 2013 Cosley Classic Golf Outing
WHEATON – Cosley Zoo's Mike Williams Classic Golf Outing will celebrate 30 years of charity golfing when it returns to the links Aug. 5, according to a Wheaton Park District news release.
The release said that the Arrowhead Golf Course will be spiced up with gimmick holes such as closest to the pin and animal targets on the course. There will also be special awards given out to the best-dressed team, craziest pants and best zoo animal attire.
Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. with lunch being served at 11 a.m. A shotgun start will kick off the event at noon, with hors d'oeuvres and a steak dinner alongside awards and a raffle at 4:30 p.m. Those that have golfed in the outing all 30 years (or are close) are encouraged to tell the park district so they can be recognized as longtime golfers.
