Westmont's PVPN to present 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in August

WESTMONT – William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is coming to Westmont this August.

The play, presented by the Progressive Village Performance Network, will be presented at 7 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10 and at 2 p.m. Aug. 11, at Ty Warner Park, at Blackhawk and Plaza drives.

A Midsummer Night's Dream, a free show for the public, will then continue to the Westmont Public Library, 428 North Cass Ave., for a show at 7 p.m. Aug. 26. And as a finale, PVPN will perform the play at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at Fishel Park, 1036 Grove St.

Shakespeare's work tells the series of events around the marriage between the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and Hippolyta. Such events include manipulative fairies from the forest, young Athenian lovers and six amateur actors.
