$10K in jewelry grabbed from house

Between 9:30 a.m. July 2 and 9:45 a.m. July 3, someone stole $10,000 in jewelry from a house in the 200 block of James Drive.

Other thefts reported

• Between 6:30 a.m. and 7:40 p.m. Friday, someone entered a house in the 500 block of Brookside Drive and stole cash. The total loss is $300.

• Between 5:45 and 6 p.m. Friday, someone stole a bike in the 100 block of West 63rd Street. The total loss is $120.

• Between 10 and 10:15 p.m. July 3, someone damaged a vehicle in the 6000 block of South Cass Avenue. The total damage is $200.

• Between noon June 30 and 6 p.m. July 1, someone stole a bike in the 6700 block of South Cedar Lane. The total loss is $100.

• Between 12:50 and 1 p.m. June 24, someone stole a bike in the 1400 block of Carriage Lane. The total loss is $140.

• Between 6:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. June 24, someone damaged a mailbox in the 100 block of West Naperville Road. The total damage is $70.

• Sometime between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. June 25, an unknown offender damaged a mailbox in the 400 block of West 65th Street. The total $60.

• Sometime between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. June 28, an unknown offender stole a computer from a house in the 400 block of West Naperville Road. The total loss is $1,500.

• Sometime between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. June 29, an unknown offender stole garbage cans in the 300 block of North Lincoln Street and the 200 block of North Grant Street. The total loss is $200.

• Sometime between 5 p.m. an 6 p.m. June 29, an unknown offender stole a cellphone in the 900 block of Pasquinelli Drive. The total loss is $300.

Property damage reported

• Sometime between 5 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. July 1, an unknown offender damaged a vending machine in the 200 block of West 59th Street. The total damage is $500.

• Sometime between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, an unknown offender damaged a vehicle in the 3500 block of Midwest Road. The total damage is $500.

• Sometime between 9 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, an unknown offender damaged mailboxes in the 100 block of Indian Boundary Drive. The total damage is $300.

DUI charges

Elias Skalatas, 42, of 760 Devonshire Drive, Des Plaines, was charged with driving under the influence in the 800 block of East Ogden Avenue at about 11:25 p.m. July 1. He was also cited for speeding and improper lane usage.

• Derick Jones, 32, of 1720 Worthington Drive, Valparaiso, Indiana, was charged with driving under the influence after officers found him asleep behind the wheel in the 400 block of West Ogden Avenue at about 1:49 p.m. June 26.

Drug charges

Daniel Zerfoss, 21, of 106 Livery Circle, Oak Brook, was charged with discharging illegal fireworks, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Plaza Drive at about 6:10 p.m. Thursday.

Domestic battery

• Jeffrey Cracco, 38, of 1446 Carriage Lane #2, was charged with domestic battery after he struck a family member in the 1400 block of Carriage Lane at about 12:05 a.m. June 30.

• Christina Marino, 45, of 804 Oregon Train, Roselle, was charged with domestic battery after she struck a family member in the 0-100 block of North Hudson at about 8:30 a.m. June 30.

License violations

• Montasia Williams, 20, of 1001 32nd Ave., Bellwood, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license in the 400 block of East 55th Street at about 10:15 p.m. July 2.

• Mihir Patel, 27, of 510 Shadywood Lane, was charged with driving with a revoked license at about 4:37 p.m. in the 4100 block of North Cass Avenue June 26. He was also cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
