DOWNERS GROVE – Downers Grove police said there were no arrests or citations for fireworks in the village on the Fourth of July this week.

Police also reported no accidents caused by fireworks, or other holiday-related incidents.

Police Det. Mike Willison said the department did have a busy evening responding to complaints for fireworks, though no citations were made.

He said there was one arrest for driving under the influence.

"For the Fourth of July, that is quiet," Willison said.
