Free 'Dog First Aid' class offered by Clarendon Hills Park District

CLARENDON HILLS – The Clarendon Hills Park District will present a "Dog First Aid" class from 6 to 8 p.m. July 25 at the Prospect Park Pavilion. 

Although this class is designed for adults, children and teens under the age of 18 are welcome to attend the program with a parent. 

This class focuses on accident prevention for those that own dogs and provides some tips on avoiding potentially dangerous situations with the family pet. There will also be information on learning to interpret body language between humans and dogs, as well as dog-to-dog communications. 

Class instructors will also provide first aid tips, which can be used with an animal that suddenly becomes ill or is injured. This program is free, however, advance registration at the Community Center, 315 Chicago Ave., is required.
