Chicago men charged with armed robbery in unincorporated Lombard
LOMBARD – Two Chicago men were charged with armed robbery Wednesday for allegedly taking more than $40,000 in cash and merchandise from a Radio Shack location in unincorporated Lombard.
Antuoine Adams, 38, and Ronaldo C. Crawford, 33, both of the 8700 block of Bishop Street, Chicago, were charged with armed robbery for an incident June 5.
On June 5, deputies from the DuPage County Sheriff's office were called to investigate an incident of armed robbery at Radio Shack, 18W435 Roosevelt Road, where more than $40,000 in cash and merchandise was stolen.
During the investigation, the deputies learned that several other businesses throughout the Chicago region had been robbed in a similar fashion. On June 27, the DesPlaines Police Department arrested Adams and Crawford for allegedly committing a similar robbery in town.
Adams and Crawford are being held at the Cook County Jail on charges from the DesPlaines Police Department, but they have also been charged by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office and are each being held on bond of $500,000 from the county.
