Senator honored with award

LEMONT – In recognition of her support of Illinois law enforcement, State Sen. Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) received an award July 1 at the Lemont Police Department for championing efforts to protect drug enforcement officials. In 2012, Radogno sponsored House Bill 4081, which provides an exemption in the state’s eavesdropping law for undercover narcotics officers. The bill allows officers who are investigating a felony drug violation to record or listen to conversations during the course of that investigation without a court order.
