VILLA PARK – The Villa Park Police Department is looking for a suspect who is believed to have been involved in multiple battery incidents throughout the village recently.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of South Ardmore Avenue at 6:30 p.m. June 30 to respond to a battery incident that had occurred. The victim, an elderly woman, told officers that she had been walking to her vehicle when a black, male subject came up behind her and put his hand over her mouth. The woman screamed and the man ran from the area.

The DuPage County Sheriff's Department also responded to two similar reports that occurred Sunday in the Brandywine subdivision in unincorporated Villa Park near the 1600 block of South Ardmore Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 18 and 22 years old, standing at least 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds with short, black hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Villa Park Police Department at 630-834-7447 or Det. Dennis Campos at 630-592-6162.
