Low-cost pet vaccinations, microchips offered

BERWYN – Have your pets been vaccinated or microchipped? A low-cost solution is being made available to Cook County residents from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 9, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2378, 1529 S. Harlem Ave.

The pet clinic will offer one-year rabies vaccinations for $7; three-year for $21. Ferret vaccinations are being offered for $9. Microchips to aid in the identification of your pet in the event it is lost are available for $10.

The clinic is available to all dogs, cats and ferrets threemonths old or older. Pet owners must bring proof of residency and cash or check will only be accepted.

More information is available at davidavilaberwynassessor@gmail.com.

The event is sponsored by Cook County Commissioner Jeffrey Tobolski, Mayor Robert Lovero, Seventh Ward Alderman Ralph Avila and Township Supervisor-elect David J. Avila.
