Boys Scouts plan Fourth of July pancake breakfast at Walker Park

BURR RIDGE – Boy Scout Troop 69, sponsored by St. Helena’s Church, Burr Ridge, will again be serving up pancakes and sausage on the Fourth of July.

The Troop 69 pancake breakfast will be held at Pleasant Dale Park District’s Walker Park, 7425 South Wolf Road, Burr Ridge. The event has kicked off the Fourth of July festivities at Walker Park for the past 15 years.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. The menu includes pancakes, blueberry and gluten free pancakes, scrambled eggs, egg strata, sausage, fruit, orange juice and other beverages.

There will be baskets for raffles and a door prize.

Tickets are $1, or six tickets for $5. Tickets to the all you can eat breakfast are $5, and are available from any Troop 69 scout. Children under 5 are free.

Profits from the breakfast will help fund the troop with its camping program and service projects throughout the community.
