Volunteers recognized for service to seniors

LOMBARD – On June 30, the DuPage Senior Citizens Council held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration at the Diplomat West in Elmhurst. At this event, hundreds of volunteers with the organization were recognized.

During the event, 35 volunteers were specifically recognized for their service to the DuPage Senior Citizens Council. This year, volunteer Kelly Guerra received the Volunteer of the Year award.

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council provides services of well-being checks, home maintenance work, meal deliveries and lawn maintenance to homebound seniors throughout DuPage County.
