People's Resource Center collecting canned goods during July 4 parade

WHEATON – When local residents go into downtown Wheaton July 4 to enjoy the Independence Day parade, the People's Resource Center hopes that they bring a couple of canned goods along.

The PRC will be collecting nonperishable food for its food pantry at the parade, according to a city news release. The PRC is a Wheaton charity that provides resources like English as a second language classes, computer classes, job training and more to DuPage County residents.

Volunteers will be lining the route with shopping carts to collect the goods. To learn more about the PRC, visit http://www.peoplesrc.org/.
