Fireworks, food and giant foosball highlight Lemont Independence Day celebration

LEMONT – Lemont Park District will hold its “Independence Day Extravaganza” Wednesday at the Centennial Campus, 16028 W. 127th St., Lemont.

The event starts at 4 p.m. and features the Park District Foundation Beer Garden, a food court comprised of local restaurant fare, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, bean bag tournament and children’s activities, including giant inflatables. New this year is a life-size “human foosball” game.

The band Centerfold will take the stage at 6 p.m., followed by fireworks at dusk.
