Warrenville Fire Department responds to hotel fire

WARRENVILLE – Warrenville firefighters responded to a fire alarm on the fifth floor of a hotel Saturday morning, according to the fire department.

At 9:54 a.m., fire units from Warrenville, Lisle, Naperville and Fermilab arrived at SpringHill Suites. The first was contained to the room it originated in, according to a fire department news release, and the sprinkler system put out the majority of the fire before fire crews put out the rest. No injuries were reported, and damage was limited to the room and those adjacent to it due to water damage.

With the exception of the damaged rooms, the hotel remains in fulls service, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is in progress.
