RIVERSIDE – Attendees of an event in Riverside can learn the significance of pollinating creatures and how people can return the favor at the Riverside Public Library.

The library presents Power to the Pollinators at 7 p.m. July 10 at 1 Burling Road.

Jess Reese of the Brookfield Zoo will talk about the Language of Conservation Initiative program and the significance of pollination by birds, bees and butterflies. Seed balls can be made at the program and taken home.

The Language of Conversation Initiative is a partnership of the Riverside Public Library, the Brookfield Zoo, the Brookfield Public Library, the Brookfield Conservation Commission and Cantata to promote the significance of pollination.

This event follows the Riverside Farmers Market’s Pollinator Week that was June 17 through 23.
