Carol Stream

Village to host Fourth of July band performance, fireworks display

CAROL STREAM – Residents can enjoy food, music and fireworks in Carol Stream this Independence Day.

To celebrate the Fourth of July, Carol Stream’s classic rock band, Voyage, will perform on the Town Center Gazebo stage. A fireworks display will close out the night. 

Rocco Vino’s will serve pizza and Culver’s will serve frozen custard starting at 6 p.m. Thursday. Six-piece band Voyage will perform hits from famous rock artists such as Led Zappelin and Van Halen at 7 p.m.

Finally, a Fireworks Extravaganza choreographed to patriotic music will be presented at 9:30 p.m. Viewers can see the display from Veterans Park, Mitchell Lakes and the Town Center grounds. Hampe Park is off-limits to fireworks viewers.

No parking will be allowed on the east side of Boone Drive, Bowie Drive, Dearborn Circle, Idaho Trail (North of Lies Road) and Adler Lane on Thursday. Lies Road from Idaho Trail east to Gary Ave. will also be closed to through traffic from 9:15 to 11:30 p.m.

The village will provide free shuttle services to and from Glenbard North High School and posted parking lots along Lies Road Industrial Corridor from 7 to 11 p.m.
