Villa Park police looking for fraud suspects
VILLA PARK – Members of the Villa Park Police Department are looking for four suspects who allegedly scammed an elderly resident by pretending to perform maintenance work at her home.
The incident happened at 1 pm. June 24 in the 600 block of South Riverside Drive. The victim was defrauded of $1,400 when she paid four men to have her driveway sealed.
The driveway was covered in a black substance that was not driveway sealer, as the suspects said.
The first suspect is described a white male, approximately 50 years old, 5 feet 10 inches, 280 pounds with blond hair and wearing an orange T-shirt and beige, cut-off khakis. The second suspect is a while male, approximately 20 years old, 5 feet 10 inches, 175 pounds, with brown hair and wearing a pink T-shirt with blue stripes. The third is a while male, approximately 50 years old, 5 feet 9 inches, 180 pounds with gray hair and a goatee. The fourth man is approximately 40 years old.
The suspects were driving a new model, red Ford pick-up truck with aluminum wheels and tinted windows. The truck has amber, osculating lights on the roof. Other men were driving a white pick-up truck.
