Morton East, CSO to collaborate for community concert

CICERO – Morton East High School will partner with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to host the 2013 Community Concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at Chodl Auditorium, Morton East High School, 2423 S. Austin Blvd.

Chicago Symphony Orchestra Maestro Riccardo Muti will lead the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and members of a community chorus made up of members of the CSO Chorus, Morton East Choir and other choir representatives of Chicago’s city and suburbs.

Seating is general admission and tickets are required. Tickets are available by calling Patron Services at 312-294-3000 or the Spanish language hotline at 312-294-3072.

The concert is part of the CSO’s Citizen Musician initiative, which exists to sustain and expand the role of music in civic and cultural life.
