Men pretend to investigate residential flooding issues, allegedly burglarize home

DOWNERS GROVE – A group of men pretending to check a residence in the 1200 block of Hawkins Avenue for the cause of flooding allegedly stole a wedding ring, a diamond pendant, two diamond rings, a checkbook and $300 in cash at 3:30 p.m. June 17, according to police.

The men drove a dark-colored crossover style SUV. Police did not locate the suspects.
