Lemont storm results in two car crashes, one injury

LEMONT – The Lemont Fire Protection District responded to two car crashes after a thunderstorm blew through Lemont shortly before 6 p.m. June 24.

According to Lt. Jeff Czemske, three cars ended up in a ditch at McCarthy and Walker roads. No one was harmed.

A single car went into a ditch on Bell Road. One person suffered unspecified injuries and was transported to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
