INDIAN HEAD PARK – A year of free golf is the main prize at Flagg Creek Golf Course's Helicopter Ball Drop to mark its 20th anniversary July 14.

People can purchase a golf ball for $5 (or 6 for $25) that will be dropped from a helicopter. The winning ball will be the one that lands closes to (or in) the hole, and the winner will win a year of free golf. There will be more prizes for other participants, as well.

All proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, which serves injured military members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life.

To purchase golf balls for the drop or donate prizes for the event, contact Sue Smith at ssmith@pleasantdaleparks.org.
