Village to offer shuttle service to Taste of Lombard

LOMBARD – To accommodate the high volume of people expected to attend this year's Taste of Lombard, presented by the Lombard Jaycees, the village will offer a shuttle service from designated locations to the entrance of the fest at Madison Meadow Park.

Fest visitors can pick up shuttles at Madison School, 150 W. Madison St.; Pleasant Lane School, 401 N. Main St.; and Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St.

These buses will run at regular intervals between 7 and 11:30 p.m. on July 2, 3 and 5, between noon and midnight on July 4 and between noon and 11:30 p.m. July 6.

The bus locations will be marked with banners and the exact pick-up and drop-off will be marked with signs. A handicapped accessible bus will be available each day and dispatched to the pick-up locations as needed. Extra shuttles will be available on the Fourth of July to accommodate people coming to see fireworks at the Taste of Lombard.

The shuttle buses are provided by the village of Lombard and are paid for using money from the hotel/motel tax fund.

Many streets near the festival will be marked with temporary no parking signs and tickets will be issued after signs are posted. A full listening of parking restrictions can be reviewed on the village website at

During the the Taste of Lombard and throughout the holiday in general, members of the Lombard Police Department will be strictly enforcing all state and local laws, including the use of firecrackers and consumption of alcohol in public places.
