DOWNERS GROVE – The Village of Downers Grove announced a partnership this week with the park district and School District 58 for sharing in the delivery cost of their respective print publications.

On June 28, the village's newsletter and water quality report, the park district's newsletter and District 58's Annual Report will be delivered door-to-door. Joint delivery will save a total of $13,000 annually by eliminating higher individual bulk mail costs, according to the village.

Similar cost saving arrangements have been made for vehicle maintenance services and storm water management projects.

Delivery will begin June 28 and should take two days to complete. Single family residences and standalone business locations can expect a single bag containing all publications hung on their front door knob.

In apartments, condominium complexes, townhomes and multi-tenant business locations, items may be delivered door-to-door or left in lobbies or with the leasing or property management representatives.

Residents who have not received their mailing by June 30 can email or call 630-434-2255.
