Published: Friday, June 21, 2013 6:06 p.m. CDT

ELMHURST – Community Unit School District 205 is making an effort to better communicate with parents.

District administrators will present an overview of the English Language Learner program at Conrad Fischer Elementary, as well as what the district anticipates will be a school choice option in the near future.

Four District 205 Board of Education members plan on attending, but the meeting will be led by administrators, including Superintendent Dave Pruneau, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Charles Johns, ELL Coordinator Karen Mulattieri, Fischer Principal Jane Bailey and Director of Communications Melea Smith.

The meeting will start at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Conrad Fischer Elementary School gym, 888 N. Wilson St. Public comments will be allowed following district presentations. Unlike regular board meetings, administrators will answer additional questions. A Spanish language interpreter will also be provided.
