Theft by deception reported

A Coldwell Banker employee reported she had paid someone claiming to work for Blue Rose Marketing, Inc. for advertisements on shopping carts at the Elmhurst Mariano’s, but after contacting the corporate office discovered she had been scammed at 9:46 a.m. June 28 at 190 N. York Road.

Identity theft reported

• Someone used a another person’s credit card to buy $345.61 worth of items from BodyBuilding.com at 3:46 p.m. June 6.

• A Elmhurst man reported someone withdrew $4000 from his bank account without his permission at 2 p.m. June 21 at a bank branch in St. Louis, Mo.

DUI

• Carrie A. Mccombs-Glenn, 43, 12435 Heritage Meadow Drive, Plainfield, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 5:25 a.m. June 28 on West bound Roosevelt between York and Route 83.

• Andrew Smith, 43, 615 W. Fay Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage at 12:28 a.m. June 29 at Fremont Avenue and North York Street.

• Victorino Rosas, 31, and Armando Gomez-Ortiz, 40, both of 2507 N. New England Ave., Chicago, were charged with illegal transportation of alcohol at 4:55 a.m. June 29 at West North Avenue and Oak Street. Rosas also was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, speeding, not having a valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

• Ramon Martinez, 25, 1601 Reckinger Road, Aurora, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and not having a valid driver’s license at 5:43 a.m. June 30 in the 600 block of North Michigan Street after police allegedly found him asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle.

• Julia Pagan, 27, 1022 N. Central Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, making an improper turn and not having insurance at 1:54 a.m. June 27 at East North and North Addison avenues.

• Patrick Shaw, 30, 552 Fern Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct at 8:07 a.m. July 2 at South Poplar Avenue and May Street.

• Dennis D. Brown, 66, 482 S. Holly Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:50 p.m. June 25 at 386 Commonwealth Lane.

• Michael Samuels, 42, 1502 S. Elmwood Ave., Berwyn, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, following too closely, failure to dim headlights, driving while license suspended, not having insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol at 9:05 p.m. June 26 at East North Avenue and Willow Road.

• Francisco R. Garcia-Lopez, 28, 1021 Ferrari Drive, Bensenville, was charged with felony driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, speeding, not wearing a seat belt, driving while license suspended and not having insurance at 12:08 a.m. June 23 at County Line Road and West Lake Street.

• Cara E. Watkins, 24, 8655 Narragansett Ave., Morton Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:56 a.m. June 23.

• Heather Yarocki-Murray, 39, 213 Troy Lane, Lombard, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, speeding and improper lane usage at 4:18 a.m. June 23 at Route 83 and Lake Street.

• Trevor Gorman, 21, 780 Stratford Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding at 1:34 a.m. June 20 at East Madison Street and Kearsage Avenue.

• Esdras Lopez, 26, 317 S. Addison Road, Addison, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of improper lane usage and driving while license revoked at 9:21 p.m. June 15 Lake Street and Route 83.

• Marcin Sanetra, 27, 8551 N. Arnold Ave., River Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, cited for disregarding a traffic-control device and cited for leaving the scene of accident at 8:05 a.m. June 16 at York Street and North Avenue.

• Jennilee Billard, 25, 555 Gundersen Drive, Carol Stream, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, disobeying a traffic-control device and not having insurance at 4:35 p.m. June 13 at North and West avenues.

• Thadius Bieniek, 24, 3N160 Cuyahoga Terrace, West Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, obstructed front side windows, improper signal and illegal transportation of alcohol at 4:48 a.m. June 12 at West St. Charles Road and Mitchell Avenue.

• Francisco Cruz, 38, 124 Cayuga Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked, not having insurance, improper lane usage, improper turn, obstructing identification and transportation of alcohol at 12:17 a.m. June 10 at York Road and Eggleston Avenue.

• Linda M. Delgado, 21, 1626 N. Mobile Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor (she was 20 at the time of the incident), operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage at 4:47 a.m. June 7 at North and Maple avenues.

• David Scanlan, 30, 513 N. Park St., Westmont, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and no headlights at 11:21 p.m. June 7 at Riverside Drive and Route 83.

• Ulysses Benitez, 20, 536 S. Michigan Court, Addison, was charged with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, obstructing identification, consumption of alcohol by a minor, improper turning, speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving while license suspended at 5:24 a.m. June 8 at Lake Street and Grand Avenue.

• Ashley Schmit, 22, 3046 Alta Street, Melrose Park, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to give information at 1:52 p.m. May 31 at 190 S. Prospect Ave.

• Andrew A. Roth, 21, 3142 Rhodes Ave., Melrose Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use at 4:04 a.m. May 19 at East St. Charles Road and Fair Avenue. Passenger Vanessa A. Cervania, 25, 17W714 Butterfield Road, Villa Park, also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Suspicious circumstances reported

Someone propped a steak knife against the tire of a parked vehicle at 3:41 p.m. June 28 in the 400 block of N. York Road.

Public intoxication charged, cited

• Jacques Rogers, 59, 404 Home Ave., Oak Park, was charged with being a pedestrian under the influence of alcohol, intoxicated person upon railroad station platform and littering at 6:43 p.m. June 28 at 100 S. York Street. He also was issued a no-tresspass order for 100 South Chop House and Grill.

• Christopher Perry, 33, 325 W. Green St., Bensenville, was cited for public intoxication at 4:09 p.m. June 18 at 125 E. First St.

• Ceferino Figueroa, 59, 4724 W. 20th St., Cicero, was cited for public intoxication at 8:08 p.m. June 6 at West Avenue and St. Charles Road.

• Michael Shogren, 22, 4827 Linden Road, Rockford, was charged with possession of open alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication at 7:30 p.m. June 1 in the 100 block of W. Third Street.

Thefts reported

• Five hundred dollars was reported stolen from a wallet at 12:47 p.m. June 29 in the 100 block of W. Vallette Street.

• Someone reportedly stole a dozen roses and a gift bag at 4:05 p.m. June 29 at Jewel, 944 S. York Road.

• Someone reportedly stole $98 worth of groceries at 11:20 a.m. June 30 at Mariano’s, 678 N. York Road.

• Someone reportedly stole the hood of a white 2013 Chrysler 300 and cause approximately $4,500 worth of other damage to the car between 6 p.m. June 29 and 10 a.m. July 1 at Larry Roesch Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 200 W. Grand Ave.

• Someone reportedly stole a black Charbroil American Gourmet Smoker, worth $150, between 1p.m. and 2 p.m. July 1 in the 100 block of Oakland Grove.

• Kingsley K. Agyemang, 32, 620 S. York Road, Elmhurst, was charged with retail theft at 1:23 p.m. June 21 at Kohl’s, 303 S. Route 83 after allegedly trying to steal a wallet and bracelet.

Reckless driving charged

Andrew K Milne, 27, 107 W. Monroe St., Villa Park was charged with reckless driving and failing to report an accident at 1:12 p.m. June 29 in the 100 block of Fellows Court after allegedly driving over a sign on purpose.

Possession of drug paraphernalia charged

• Laura Y. Porras, 20, 10413 W. Palmer Ave., Melrose Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:19 p.m. June 29 at County Line Road and Grand Avenue.

• Ashley Ulrich, 19, 518 Van Auken St., Elmhurst, and Anthony Suriano, 37, 703 W. Liberty Drive, Wheaton, were charged with possession of marijuana at 9:59 p.m. June 17 in the 200 block of E. Crestview Avenue. Suriano was also charged with public urination.

• Two 16-year-olds; Dexter King, 18, 250 W. Elm Park Ave., Elmhurst; and Julio Ibares-Piza, 19, 1031 David Drive, Bensenville, were charged with prowling at 8:19 p.m. June 16 at 481 W. Second Street after allegedly running out of a vacant house. One of the 16-year-olds was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for having a marijuana pipe.

Underage drinking cited, charged

• Jeremy Marsan, 20, 332 N. Addison Ave., Elmhurst, was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor at 1:56 a.m. June 30 near his home. Note to readers: The case was later dismissed, according to the DuPage County Circuit Court clerk's office.

• Matthew Eldred, 19, 100 N. Mason St., Bensenville, was charged with cruel treatment to animals, consumption of alcohol by a minor, battery and disorderly conduct at 8:36 p.m. June 25 at North York and Schiller streets after allegedly punching, kicking and choking his dog before it ran away.

• A 13-year-old was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor and being out past curfew at 2:13 a.m. June 20 at North and Ferndale avenues.

• Kevin Jackson, 19, 183 Berteau Ave., Elmhurst, Kevin Saccomonto,19, 153 North Hampshire Ave., Elmhurst and Mario Mondragon-Balvuena, 20, 1120 Judson St., Bensenville were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor at 12:59 a.m. June 21 in the 200 block of Rex Boulevard. Saccomonto and Mondragon-Balvuena were also charged with prowling.

• Emmet Mcgovern, 19, 7241 W. 62nd St., Summit, Eric Bjorklund, 19, 7542 Oak Grove Ave., Justice, Brandon Riley, 19, 416 Blackstone Ave., Willow Springs, Nicolette Jordan, 18, 26W101 Durfee Road, Wheaton, and Anthoney Meier, 19, 7310 S. Blackstone Ave., Justice, were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor at 2:13 a.m. June 1 at 136 Haven Road. Mcgovern was also charged with allowing people underage to drink on his premises and obstruction after giving false identification.

Possession of cocaine charged

• Rafael Abrue, 49, 107 S. Villa Ave., Addison, was charged with speeding, failure to signal and unlawful possession of a controlled substance- cocaine at 3:24 a.m. June 30 at North and Villa avenues.

• Jimmy H. Fox, 36, 10315 Lyndale Ave., Melrose Park, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended at 6:51 p.m. May 29 at North and West avenues after suspect cocaine and a glass pipe were allegedly found in his car.

Domestic battery charged

• Sharon Bertolli, 45, 8 Dewalt Court, Elmhurst, was charged with domestic battery at 4 a.m. June 30 at her home after allegedly striking a victim in the head with an aerosol can.

• Nicholas D. Wassell, 42, 5850 Beverly Circle E., Hanover Park, was charged with domestic battery at 6:17 p.m. June 17 in the 600 block of West North Avenue after a verbal argument became physical.

• Allen Schroeder, 53, 757 S. York St., was charged with domestic battery, battery and criminal damage to property at 9:22 p.m. June 13 at his home after allegedly throwing a brick through a window and attacking a victim.

• Daniel Wohlfiel, 51, 209 Chandler Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with domestic battery at 10:54 p.m. June 12 at his home after allegedly grabbing a victim by the neck.

• Andrea M. Middleton, 24, 4310 W. North Ave., Stone Park, was charged with domestic battery and interfering with a 911 call at 11:34 a.m. June 3 in the 400 block of West Fullerton Avenue after allegedly pulling a gun on her ex.

• Anthony M. Palmieri, 33, 315 W. Kimbell Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with domestic battery at 7:54 a.m. May 31 at his home after allegedly hitting a victim in the face.

• Vincent Cozzi, 27, 664 W. Thomas St., Elmhurst, was charged with two counts of domestic battery at 5:45 p.m. June 1 at his home after allegedly fighting with his father.

• Brunilda Vargas, 50, 7318 Ogden Ave., Riverside, was charged with domestic battery at 8:38 p.m. June 1 in the 100 block of West Armitage Avenue after allegedly hitting a victim in the head with a ceramic statue.

Possession of marijuana charged

• Two 15-year-olds were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 6:43 p.m. June 30 in the 400 block of East Schiller Street. A sixteen-year-old with them was charged with possession of tobacco by a minor.

• Rachel Tuszynski, 25, and Courtney Gordon, 25, both of 1301 W. Argyle St., Chicago, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana at 12:34 a.m. July 1 in the 100 block of York Street. Gordon was also charged with not having insurance.

• A 15 year old was charged with possession of marijuana at 7:49 p.m. June 25 at 467 E. Schiller Street.

• Sabeel Hafiz, 25, 11 Yorkshire Woods, Oak Brook, was charged with possession of marijuana at 9:12 p.m. June 24 in the 500 block of South York Street.

• Yaroslav Bulakh, 27, 1517 Mitchell Lane, Mt. Prospect, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and not having a rear registration plate light at 12:21 a.m. June 14 at Grand and North Weigel avenues.

• Cesar Trejo, 20, 1823 N. 33rd Ave., Stone Park, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal transportation of alcohol and allowing an unauthorized person to drive at 11:39 p.m. June 12 at North and West avenues. A 17 year old was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Jessica Velasco, 20, 2056 N. La Crosse Ave., Chicago, was charged with not having a driver’s license, not having insurance and disobeying a traffic control signal.

• Julia Gluck, 20, 265 Middaugh Road, Clarendon Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana at 9:33 p.m. June 6 in the the 800 block of Chatham Avenue.

• Montserrat Tapia, 27, 800 Laporte Ave., Melrose Park, and Eduardo Ocampo, 28, 3930 West 63rd St., Chicago, were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:22 a.m. June 1 in the 100 block of North York Street.

• Maxim Cateli, 24, 3718 N. Spaulding Ave., Chicago, was charged with obstructed front side windows, driving while license revoked and possession of marijuana at 1:56 p.m. May 28 at Roosevelt Road and Prospect Avenue.

Burglaries reported

• A GPS unit worth $450 and a toiletry bag were reported stolen from inside an unlocked van between 6 p.m. June 13 and 9 a.m. June 19 in the 400 block of North Larch Ave.

• Someone reportedly stole 45 cartons of Newport Menthol cigarettes at 4:19 a.m. July 2 at Cigarette Center, 573 N. York St.

• Someone reportedly forced entry through a rear door window and stole two computers, silver flakes and a collection of coins of unknown value between 7 p.m. July1 and 5:32 a.m. July 2 at Lee-Wel Printing Corporation, 720 N. Larch Ave.

• Someone reportedly stole a Garmin GPS unit and leather case worth $230 from an unlocked car between 7 p.m. June 25 and 6 a.m. June 26 in the 400 block of E. South Street.

• Someone reportedly stole a purse from an unlocked vehicle between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 25 in the 100 block of E. Fremont Ave.

• An Elmhurst woman reported someone had entered her home and left it disheveled between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. June 25 in the 100 block of East St. Charles Road. She was unsure what was stolen.

• Someone reportedly stole a Toshiba laptop worth $432.99 and a high-powered flashlight worth $250 from inside an unlocked truck at 11:25 p.m. June 25 in the 200 block of East Vallette Street.

• Someone reportedly broke into a white Ford Econoline van and stole $1,700 worth of tools between 9 p.m. June 17 and 9 a.m. June 18 in the 400 block of East Court.

• Someone reportedly broke into the Rainbow Restaurant and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the register as well as the DVR containing security footage between 12:20 and 5 a.m. June 4 at 233 N. York Road.

Illegal transportation of alcohol charged

• Everto E. Carrillo, 35, 1001 Ferrari Dr., Bensenville, was charged with not having a valid driver’s license, not having valid registration, speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol at 4:40 p.m. July 1 at North York Street and Interstate 290.

• Victor Delacruz, 27, 2440 W. Touhy Ave., Des Plaines, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, not having a valid driver’s license, not having insurance and no tail lights at 2:10 a.m. June 20 at North York Street and East Belden Avenue.

Possession of heroin charged

Karla Garcia, 25, and Jose Alvarez, 20, both of 68 W. Elizabeth Drive, Addison, and Jose Espinosa, 26, 659 Briar Hill Lane, Addison, were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance at 8:55 p.m. July 2 at Interstate 290 and Route 83 after police allegedly found them to have heroin. Alvarez was also charged with possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended. Espinosa was also charged with possesion of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Open alcohol in public cited, charged

• Tony L. Ray, 38, 576 N. Kenilworth Ave., Elmhurst, was cited for possession of open alcohol in public at 7:05 p.m. June 17 in the 600 block of North York Street.

• Tony L. Ray, 38, 576 N. Kenilworth Ave., Elmhurst was charged with consumption of alcohol in public at 12:33 a.m. June 9 at West North Avenue and North York Street.

Forgery charged

Cameron E. Jackson, 24, 5902 S. King Drive, Chicago, was charged with unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance, possession of fraudulent prescriptions and forgery at 5 p.m. June 4 at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave.

Use of counterfeit credit card charged

Mary Parnell-Wilson, 55, 3927 Lincoln St., Gary, Indiana, was charged with felony counts of use of counterfeit credit cards, possession of a fraudulent credit cards and possession of a fictitious drivers license at 1:19 p.m. June 1 at Buffalo Wild Wings, 149 N. York St.
