Berwyn announces cooling center locations for hot summer months

BERWYN – Yes, it will get hot this summer in Berwyn.

Berwyn officials announced a number of locations today that will serve as cooling centers for those who need to beat the heat.

The locations include:

Berwyn Police Department

Open: 24 Hours

Location: 6401 W. 31st Street

Berwyn Fire Department

Open: 24 Hours,

Location: 6615 W. 16th Street

Berwyn Public Library

Open: Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Sunday.

Location: 2701 S. Harlem Avenue

Berwyn Recreation Department

Open: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Location: 6501 W. 31st Street

Freedom Park Administration Office

Open: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Location: 3701 S. Scoville Ave.
