DGTV channel 6 program addresses memory loss, dementia

DOWNERS GROVE – "Vintage Times," a program for seniors that addresses memory loss, dementia and related disorders airs this June and July on Downers Grove's public access channel 6.

Sue Durkin, a clinical nurse at the Memory Assessment Center of the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, said in a newsrelease that it is important to understand the difference between normal forgetfulness and a serious memory problem.

Residents can view the program at 10:30 a.m. Mondays and Fridays on DGTV channel 6 in June.

In July, viewers can see the show at 6 p.m. Thursdays on Comcast channel 19.
Darien residents can watch daily at 4 p.m. on channel 6.

AT&T U-Verse customers can see the program on channel 99 on the same days and times as listed above.

It is also online at www.downers.us. From there, go to “Network With Us” on the right-hand side of the page, click on “YouTube," go to “Featured Playlists” and then click the "Uploaded videos" section, scroll through the list to find the "Vintage Times" episode title.

DVD copies will be available for loan at public libraries in Downers Grove, Darien, and Westmont as well as at the Township office.
