Anima of Glen Ellyn to host joint concert with Kantorei

GLEN ELLYN – Glen Ellyn's internationally recognized youth choral organization Anima will host a free joint performance with Kantorei, The Singing Boys of Rockford.

The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. June 20 at Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

Kantorei will present “Why We Sing," a performance that includes choral classics, American folk hymns and spirituals. A set titled “Heart and Voice” features folk melodies and choral settings of poetry.

For nearly 50 years, Kantorei has offered musical education and other opportunities to boys and young men ages 6 to 18 years old.
