WHEATON – Alongside the festivities of the Wheaton July 4 parade will be a large nonperishable food drive, according to a release from the People's Resource Center.

As with previous years, volunteers from St. Matthew's United Church of Christ's "shopping card brigade" will be stationed along the parade route to collect food from attendees. The goods will go to stock the shelves at local food pantries, including the People's Resource Center in Wheaton.
